I have the same error on many servers with the above configuration.

I am hosting Redmine with Apache and FastCGI on my CentOS. Everything works fine with WEBrick. I used this tutorial http: // www: .redmine.org / projects / redmine / wiki / HowTo_configure_Apache_to_run_Redmine

When I try to open public / dispatch.fcgi I get:

RE: FCGI error while sending – I just added Tomasz Over jurczyk 6 a long time ago

    dispatch fcgi exit communication error

thanks for your input. Yes, I’ve been trying to find this solution for 3 hours already. The problem seems to be:

[root @ nlp be lib] # pwd/usr/lib/ruby/gems/1.8/gems/fcgi-0.9.2.1/lib[root @ nlp lib] # vii mark -ltotal 60-rw-r -r -.1 root root1 4721 May 81 2:55 fcgi.rb-rwxr-xr-x. 1 main root 44359 May 5 23:00 fcgi.soto begin Increase the LoadError value if ENV [“USE_PURE_RUBY_FCGI”] Requires “fcgi.so”#rescue LoadError number Load pure rubies instead # We all have STDERR at this point, so use the site for something else good $ stderr.puts “Your FCGI gem does not provide the fcgi shared library, it runs pure Ruby instead.”

     "fcgi.so" required

gives the impression that it is not working as expected. I tried to change it to

     "fcgi" validation required

I have not had good and serious success with the passengers. There are some misunderstandings, and this was reported not so long ago (about 2 weeks) at the drop-off point. Thisand the bug affects trips, and Centos is partially responsible for this because of SELinux.

RE: FCGI error while sending – Added by Tomasz Jurczyk over 6 months ago

    It’s finally working!
I’m not 100% sure of our own reason (because I’ve tried a lot of hacks and workable solutions), but I’ve honestly added this altogether (and I think it works) in Gemfile.local:

    Gem “fcgi”need “ruby stones”requires ‘fcgi’
    dispatch fcgi exit communication error
